Doctorate of Art Theory, associate researcher, art historian, curator, critic, theoretical member of the Chinese Artists Association, representative of the 15th session of Beijing Municipal People's Congress. She graduated from the Department of Art History of the Central Academy of Fine Arts. In 2013, she received the certificate of training of art management leaders jointly issued by the Ministry of Culture, National Art Museum of China, Central Academy of Fine Arts and Media Department of the Free University of Berlin, Germany. Currently she works for the Research and Planning Department of the National Art Museum of China. Since 2000, Liu Chunfeng has frequently initiated exhibition planning and art criticism, and has represented China as a curator of contemporary art projects and organizer of academic activities at major art museums in Brussels, Paris, Tokyo, Seoul, Busan, Rome, Lyon, Vienna, Berlin, New York and Turin. She has long been invested and participated in the development of Chinese contemporary art. In addition, she has written numerous critical articles and art reviews, edited more than 40 catalogs of Chinese contemporary art, and published two personal academic monographs.
