Wang Weisi: What we see every day are the wonders of the city under the living condition of “high tech, low life”. They always make me can’t help laughing. On the one hand, our flourishing virtual society is being built all the time, information aggregation is accelerating, material flow is constantly optimizing and upgrading. On the other hand, the disadvantaged world is filled with opportunities, despair, novelties and cruelty. The fate of the common people in the alienated information society is that even though their lives have been fed by more convenient and humane virtual or physical products, the oppression and destruction determined by the nature of the giant system have not really disappeared. I want to display this kind of situation vividly in a rude but cute way through my works.
