QIN Yexuan: I have lived in many different cities around the world, always seeking for the balance between my various identities and the sense of weightlessness in my life. I am willing to explore a variety of ways of observation and recording. I am trying to make artistic creation and embed it in social life in the way of "atmosphere writing" and "blurring subject and object, which is similar to "diary style" in multiple timelines. In this process, the logic and sequence are constructed to gradually disassemble and then integrate the inevitable fragmental life experience of individuals in this era. I believe that the "contemporaneity" of contemporary art is reflected in its concern and intervention in society.

I am trying to grasp the dispelled, to oppose homogeneity and to question "the self-discipline of aesthetics". I never want to separate artistic practice and artistic object from life practice and object. Instead, I always focus on how art "happens", the group anxiety in a standardized society, the differentiation and homoplasy of young people's lifestyle and its causes, the general lack of security behind consumerism carnival, women's issues and gay equality issues, and the birth and disintegration of the discourse power system.
