Wang Changcheng's works start from the research perspective of historical combing and conceptual analysis, focusing on the ups and downs, complete and imperfect physical and mental experience of human beings at the collective or individual level. His works show the vigilance of the creative method using narration as a means, trying to accurately influence the audience's perception of the world around him by establishing connections between things he is used to. His works involve video, painting, sculpture, installation, performance and other media.

In this work, Wang Changcheng invited 20 garden workers in a seriously aging township to launch a one-day beautification operation on the streets of the local village. What is different from the past is that in this operation, the garden workers not only trimmed the vegetation on both sides of the road, but also trimmed the beard and hair of the elderly who are accustomed to sitting next to the vegetation and have limited mobility.
