Heimi’s works always have a direct sense of perception and delicate observation. Plants, animals, childhood memories and natural landscapes constitute the source of her energy and emotions, which react and leave traces in her pictures, and are invariably full of life.

From the creation of picture books to the language of printmaking, the narrative of images and the free dialogue with different materials are her unique composite qualities. While she explores and navigates between various media such as copperplate, woodcut and watercolor, she is also adept at building systematic visual narrative experiences with images. The characteristics, limitations and contingencies of different materials have almost become her language, and each interaction with the materials leads her to improvise output like making new friends, growing with her.

Heimi’s creations are mostly born from daily life and natural scenes, and she always captures the connection between things and her own life experience and memory, and presents a natural growth like a plant through allegorical image narrative, humbly and humorlessly expressing her understanding and perception of the complexity of the world.

The work is honest, it is a mapping of the dialogue between the creator's interior and exterior, and a channel through which each person can enter nature and self.

Story Intro:
One day, when there is a man came to the village to collect hair, the girl lost her favorite long hair. She wondered about the street sadly and she got lost...
