Ji Yiwei: I have been instinctively hiding from our noisy environment, keeping away from crowds. People who are used to being alone will have strong imaginations, which will allow them to dominate and encircle their canvases and even their lives. Aloneness drags you into another world. I try to chase after this world and keep trying to paint it. In this world, "distance" is the eternal theme. All things in the images are far away from each other, simultaneously creating a sense of noise and tranquility.
