Shi Hengbo："Viscera-state", which first appeared in Plain Questions on Six Cycles and Viscera-state. "Viscera" refers to the organs inside body, and "state" refers to pathological and physiological phenomena. Viscera-state theory analyzes physiological functions and pathological changes of the viscera. In our inter-connected age, information spreads rapidly. I can quickly grasp information under surface from an analysis of fragments and begin my creative process. In my paintings, colors are pure, and the brushwork is simple and haphazard. I take the temperature of my painting and express my exploration into its real and original state as freely as I can. The subject matter comes from symbols in ordinary life, inter-connected with each other like dominoes, like the butterfly effect. I can then create a virtual state that might seem inconceivable and unrelated. This "Self-accounting of Viscera-state Set Painting" is therefore a new path for me, allowing me to consider and explore the truth of the original state of being.
