Song Jiayin: I aim to render a sense of temperature in my works: the monsoon rains of the north in summer, ice in the mouth during winter, the anxiety we feel in intense warmth or cold, and the undercurrent of emotion that flows secretly through the seasons. I wish I could conceal my earnestness, but it is useless to fight against one's nature. A punk with a unique mind will become banal when he sees water in the wilderness as the same current of emotion flows from the ancients to who we are today.
