Fu Bin: Through this group of works, I search for a sense of strangeness in familiar scenes, transforming the scenery of real life into a landscape of my innermo st heart. Parallel lines explore the distance and relation between reality and one's hidden self. They also describe the relation between creation and life, which co - exist sometimes very far apart and sometimes quite close to one another. For my own particular language of creation, I chose print 's unique material process of wood engraving,combining its mechanical nature with the charm of painting language to uncover th e ambiguous, direct and indirect relations

between works in the two mediums.
