Tan Tian: "Thea Djordjadze + Mona Hatoum + Franz West " and "John McCracken + Suse Weber + IsaGenzken" are two installations used in the ar t database of the third par t of my long-term art project "how do I become a contemporary artist."For this project, I spent a long time collecting and doing research on contemporary gallery artists' information and pictures,trying to establish a private art database by giving keyword definitions for every leading gallery artist, and then built a search engine through which I could find how these ar tist s deal with the same materials by inputting key words as index. In this way,I can place their methodsof dealing with materials in my own hands, combining and superimposing them to try andendow my creations with a visual sense of "contemporary art".
