As night falls, the day turns into a time when people ready themselves to rest for the following day. Spending the daytime mostly to communicate and work with other people, we reserve night time for our own private hours. In this work, The Starry Night, I intended to visualize my personal feelings that I had experienced throughout life; some of the feelings were familiar and some of them were strange to me. I, however, had not been able to exactly express these emotional experiences with words. As an attempt to depict such feelings, I searched for many different outdoor places mostly based on memories from my youth; I then installed large numbers of small light bulbs on the natural objects that she found outdoors. As a result, I could obtain unrealistic images in terms of mood and color, which were not found in everyday life, but possibly encountered in my emotional world.
