The Start of a Long Journey - 2013 CAFA Excellent Graduation Works Exhibition, CAFA Art Museum, Beijing

Du Xue: “Silk” is both light and soft. This semi-transparent material creates a sense of mystery. The materials used in my works are silk, acrylic and traditional Chinese pigments. In this series of paintings of depicting nude young women in different postures, I try to recall the past in a fresh and very Chinese way. It might be interesting that the feeling imparted could not be all the same if I present the paintings within this series in different order. But for me, they come from soulful dreams. Body language can always express people’s psychological activity.
