“The force that through the green fuse drives the flower” (Dylan Thomas). This is also the same force that drives He Qianli in his art and life. This young artist, who has made his studio in nature and lives in harmony with the surrounding plants, animals and farmers, enjoys letting his eyes and thoughts wander through the deep grass without purpose, peacefully appreciating the mysteries of nature. He enjoys sharing his art with people, that they might have get a sense of his experience. The key to revealing these mysteries of nature not lies in realistic recreation, but rather in listening attentively to the voices of the nature and feeling the souls of all creatures. At present, there are many artists who paint landscapes and plants, but there are few like He Qianli. He is truly one of a kind. In my opinion, his uniqueness is driven by his sense of wonder regarding the force of nature that lies within the flowers. This boundless and subtle universe is filled with wonders as big as the stars and as trivial as the dying grass. Each is worthy of respect.
