Hu Yuhao: In this series of work I attempt to express an "instant of creation," meaning the first moment when conscience is formed and thought begins to take place inside the mind, as sell as the next instant and what will follow in an open process. In the work I employed two opposing elements, "chaotic clouds" and colored geometric shapes, to express the birth of thought (only explaining the creation of though, without regard for the body). For this reason, I attempt to only depict these two opposing basic elements, both their individual visual characteristics as well as the tension that lies between them. Through the path that is opened by this drama, I allow the viewer to enter into the spiritual realm that my works evoke, and this is the "next instant" of which I speak.
