Liang Chaofu: Drawings, graphics, and images, as soon as they enter into your vision, will arouse your visual experience. They direct an interesting play or a process of a subject and object reversal. Images, which convey the visual signals, are most interesting as an artistic medium, as we experience the power created by the narrative of the image in an era where people read pictures instead of words. Geometrical Specimen, this series of my work is a kind of experiment related to my recent focus on collective memory and rules. The people in the pictures are selected as visual elements, re-arranged and then put into an artificial geometric frame, which changes the natural form by applying straight lines. In essence, it is a group of works constructed in a changing environment and while based historical and contemporary cultural resources.
