Ouyang Sulong: "Shadow" and "light" are both intangible. When a ray of light's path is blocked by a physical object, a visible gap is formed. The visible shadow outlines the shape of the intangible light. The shadow's shape has an objective existence but is not easily perceived. It is there in theory, but in practice is but invisible, virtual space. I use the light shaped by shadows, taking one intangible object to form another. To be precise, what I shape is neither light nor shadow, but rather nothingness. The form of regular radial straight lines seems to be an unseen order, a kind of invisible power around me.
