Qiu Dandan: I am person who always has many concerns. Though I live a peaceful life, my brain is always churning, and my emotions never cease to emerge, as many thoughts linger on my mind. I used to feel anxious, lost and nervous urban life. I like to put together scenarios that are absurd, with even a touch of apocalyptic panic. Some people say that each painting in "Peace and Happiness" touches one of their desire, some say the scenes in these paintings are much like those in their dreams. Others find them funny or sad. Actually the real world is far more absurd than anything in my paintings. Our life is a farce, but we still need to be serious and try our best to play our roles.
