Sun Wenguan: Partial images have continuity between them, and are also a mode of observation. I enjoy research through observation, constantly leaving room for imagination. After painting the images observed, one must raise the importance of a particular requirement in the creative process. Artists must consider the issue of eternal imagination and formulate their own variable solutions, so that in the work that they present one can see their own perceptions as they open a dialogue with the viewer. Man's ability to create is never as strong as his ability to discover. Images begin to appear even in the very first stages of change; however the scope of their existence is often overlooked. What I do is merely to take away their place and time, adding to those images my painting as well as an extension of space.
