Xu Sheng: The curved surface formed by lines and curved lines, is an effort to summarize concepts of people, objects and relationships as they exist in nature into geometric objects. A respect for geometry lies closest to human nature. I tried to use morphological methods to unify all such relationships in nature, treating them like architectural vocabulary. Each line and surface can find its own counterpart in reality. The embedded boulders are organic products of natures work over time. They are introverted but full of inorganic energy. These organic forms share with geometric figures share the same material, yet at their roots they are different. In time and space, they together convey a strong message dialogue between humanity and nature. Absolute purity represents an extreme, with geometry most closely approaching its essence.
