Zhao Liang: Painting is for me an expression of my sensitivity towards life. Like a type of photosynthesis, it takes time and living to make it happen. It is not easy to put that in words. It is like something that is always present, and all I need to do is to describe it using my own language-painting, and to collect those little bits that touch my soul. While I'm painting, all kinds of concrete details comes me. I always need to make choices. These may have nothing to do with the verb-"to paint". But it is more like a mirror. Every time I paint, I look into myself. And every time I do, my painting speaks for me. What I see in myself is what the viewer sees in my painting.
