More

Matsushita's painting is created through the process of applying chemical paints to the canvases, causing cracks to appear on the surface. The unique process was developed from his interest in traditional Japanese arts, such as the golden folding screens that can reveal different images depending on lighting, and the way traditional potters give different appearances toIdo bowls by selecting certain liquid solutions they apply to the material. By using the modern technique of street graffiti, Matsushita challenges himself to create artwork that goes beyond his intention and interpretable concept, allowing a phenomenon to emerge asa result of his actions.
