Chen Changchih: My paintings have been an expression of "untitledness" and "non-formativeness", and naturally, they feature organic and impromptu images. In recent years, my works demonstrate a migration from the preliminary written paintings, drawing on the characteristics of writing and even digital graphics, to the utilization of the language of image in contemporary everyday life. However, I gradually realize from the shifts and expansion that the so-called artworks collaged by unconsciousness movements are in fact a result of a self-disciplined process of painting, a composition made by the artist engaged in a game.
