Feng Hanping: The overlapping spatial relationship between inner space and outer nature has been an area of interest to me. As very age has its own characteristics, contemporary living spaces develops in a fast and thorough pace that enables a different understanding on the relationship between spatial structure and different spaces. Buildings and spaces of all sorts, as products of consumerism, have become ubiquitous in our daily lives. We are being kidnapped by capitalistic consumerism and its ideology, so much that we inevitably get caught in the world we created. It is with my own experience and my understanding on how consumerism affects our living environment and spaces that I construct an imaginative spatial relationship. It is a bizarre, overlapping, illogical and imaginatively multi-perspective spatial environment. Though inadequate in certain issues, it is my real response to the surrounding living environment and space.
