Leung Sai Poon Kenny: In the “Urban Reproduction” series, I used the memories and fragments of Hong Kong old buildings to reproduce another spatial structure and relationship, which becomes a three-dimensional space to inspect the original buildings. Memories become scattered and overlapping; reality and imagination stagger the metamorphosis of different situations with becoming a sophisticated "new" space which are messy but with exceptional orders. In particular, with black and white lines, I meticulously trace out the exquisite building details, giving a sense of old memories, which are remarkably in contrast with the new buildings painted with water color; thus leading the audience to view the forgotten urban landscape from another view and to re-construct the lost memories.
