Chang Wenduo: By focusing on the living conditions in modern societies, and especially those of groups of people outside the mainstream, I can penetrate into the inner world of modern humanity and form an accurate expression of my findings through art. Not only do I pose questions and point out problems, but I also call for society to provide answers and solutions. Recently, I went to Jingdezhen to explore traditional Chinese ceramic art by participating in production of works. Drawing inspiration from both traditional and modern art, I was drawn to express the fusion and evolution that I felt, and as a result specifically created this latest series of works.
