Gong Bin: I have grown accustomed to basing my work on images I obtain from the Internet and social media. Forms and figures are extracted from these images and then intuitively rearranged, thereby flattening and reducing layers in the work, creating theatrical tension, and conveying emotion by linking and overlaying blocks of color.
