Sun Jinglin: Most of my works are completed in a scattered state. This diffusion of their creation across time and mood can be regarded a process of continuous refinement and superposition of emotions or feelings across several natural time periods. My present way of working involves starting from the original concept or a certain aspect of daily life, and in the process of creative work, the original concept is overturned and re-established repeatedly, so as to ultimately find and determine the final way the work will be presented. The concepts of "generalization" and "concreteness" are ones I always take into consideration. For me, both of them relate to the presentation of the work and its semantic expression. In my opinion, repeated "formation" and "dissolution” are the best means of seeking a "balance point" between "expanding on simplicity" and “simplifying the complex”. Finally, the hope is that the "balanced" state will be achieved after the "formation" and "dissolution", and finally the organic transformation from "concrete" to "generalization".
