Su Zhe: My work has always been inseparable from my upbringing and personal life experience. Painting is one of my modes of self-expression. Life, lifestyle, individuals, memories, historical experiences and insights are all like a written journal. Piecing together countless fragments and further refining them, I choose painting as an expression of myself. In the face of painting, I prefer a direct state and a sense of force, allowing myself to actively dominate the creative process. Art has no fixed answer, no standard. This is not a problem, as painting is the experience of living itself, a way to sense the energy of life. In the face of painting, I prefer to start the creative process inside my heart, since painting is a perfect way to cultivate and enrich one's inner world.
