We learn about the world through “touch”—tactile impressions enter into our memory and visual experience through the body. My work is to transform these "experiences" into new visual forms in various ways. For instance, the branches depicted in the “Untouchable” series are refined from the thorny tangerine tree, presenting the intention to purify and schematize. My attempt is to extract these branches from their true complexity; thus the visual effect appears more direct and stronger to viewers. As for the composition, I have treated it with as much complexity as possible; therefore, the sense of distance and ache is better conveyed.
