Hai Peng focuses on technique in his paintings.For him, what is most important is not world or things itself, but the angles and methods from which he observe this world. The representative is his graduation pieceBetween Yes and No. He selects traditional themes including water, stones, trees, clouds, etc.to create his works by the technique of ruler painting, and reinterpret the traditions from the aspects of model construction and computation, expressing the issue “associated with tradition” by  separating from traditional beauty standards, so as to show the significance of different methodologies.  His works are complicated, exquisite, precise and classical.
